In the meantime I wanted to share this... I snapped a photo of Janey and Ben together. This photo was taken the evening of our arrival at camp. Ben had made himself at home and was falling asleep on a dog bed. Molly was nearby and little Janey was trying to find a place to settle in this strange new place. Her crate which we brought with us was at the opp end of the RV, but she wanted to be close. She walked quietly behind Ben, and laid down next to him... and rested her head on his paw (looking a bit tentative) while Ben didn't do anything. I just about died. Ben has never ever let a dog do this ever... he doesn't like to be close to other dogs like that, even with Molly. Ahh, these Kodak moments!

Unexpected closeness

This past week was huge for Janey. On Friday the 16th I packed up the dogs and we headed to Glen Highland Farm for their annual dog camp. What did that mean for Janey? Car travel, people, more dogs, and a new environment away from the safety and comfort of what's been home to her for the last month. Did I feel she was ready? Yes... this camp is special... and I knew it would be a good experience to have under her collar. Stories to come...
