Sharing space

Just came back in from a good outside playtime session. After Janey pottied, out came Cuz ball... and she lights up like a Xmas tree!

A happy little victory of note today, both this morning and this afternoon, she would start her squeaky play about halfway across the yard (btw she no longer retreats into the garden 'jungle' which is all kinds of great). She would then pick up her toy and move 10 feet closer and so on til she is just a mere 5 feet from me as I sit in the chair. She squeaks away happy as a little clam. And the whole time Molly is out here too, not too far from me.

I was petting Molly and Janey came right up and they both were staring at eachother. I remembered to breathe, this needs to happen I told myself. I saw lips curl slightly and J moved first, and Molly didn't just sit back. This whole thing lasted not even 3 seconds and it was over. Molly does have the advantage of size and fur... and she got the point on this match up. J got knocked on her butt and into some poop (Damn, I missed that pile on my poop patrol earlier). Everyone is fine. Molly looked a bit proud. Janey was fine. She walked it off, had a good shake and then it was Cuz ball time! I know it will be a bit longer, but I know these two will sort things out... and of course I will intervene if things escalate to more than a pissing contest.

So sharing spaces... she is willing to come into my space for play. Also letting me take her toy and look at it and squeak it and give it right back without a fuss. And she and Molly are working it out to co-exist together, in my space.

On another note I accidentally slept in this morning. I woke to a start at 10 freaking 30. Since Wed I had been getting up at 6 or 7 am. My body was telling me something. All dogs were good and patient with me. Though ready to potty and have breakfast. And I was still groggy I gave Janey and Ben eachother's bowls. Hoping Janey doesn't have issues with Nature's Variety duck! Ben enjoyed his TOTW lamb... but was probably wondering where the rest of his breakfast was! Got a chance to weight Janey today... is 33 lbs... and she's chubby. I think 30 would prob be ideal for her.

330pm and all dogs are in my office and they are sleeping like rocks.
